Dreaming Of Sunflowers!

Well, still working on the sunflower painting. Been tough, my neck has been really bad lately, but I am off to do as much as I can right now! Wish me luck, I need to gt this one done and get on with something else. It has been a busy day so far, Fridays always are, running to the bank, paying bills, and answering calls, etc... I have some laundry as well to do, and some cooking. I am going to do the art show tomorrow, so I have to get as much done today as possible to be able to spend the day there. I will say my new sign up, on eHow is really going well. Other than the usual online creeps, I am meeting some really nice people. They seem to be very helpful as far as running an online business and just general advice on how the site works. It is really refreshing to meet so many helpful and considerate people in one place.

Business remains slow at this time. But today I am also planning on selling some prints on eBay. I am hoping some will sell it would be nice to make some money this weekend! Also, with fall coming around the corner I am hoping that people will start tier Christmas shopping and all those people that selected items in my shop, as favorites, will actually do some shopping. It would make for a busy, but refreshing holiday for me. it would make me feel like all that hard work was finally paying off. Still no word on a job, nothing temporary or otherwise in the works. i don't know what they are saying in the news about our recession, but from my perspective and many people I know all around the country, it is still in full running. So many people are finding it it hard to find work these days. It hurts us all. The sooner we as a people can take charge of our lives and financial status the better. It is no secret the people out of work, seem to be in the middle class, and with them out of work, all facets of society suffer, they are and always will be the spenders. With no spending everything is crawling along, and that is bad news for more and more of the middle class. Our system cannot survive with only the poor (being the majority) and the rich (being the minority). The rich don't spend on enough to keep us all working and the poor cannot afford to spend at all. As more and more of our middle class, slides down into the lower class of spending, we will all find ourselves in a great mess! We must support each other, every little bit counts. No one else is going to save us, we must save ourselves!

Hoping you are having a wonderful day. I am staying on top of things and continue to work and hope that things will finally start to ease up for all of us. The weekend is at the door and I truly hope no matter of your circumstances, that you will enjoy the weekend and your loved ones. sending you my love, diana

Let's Play Catch The Clock!

Well this should have been done hours ago. It seems that my computer or Firefox has been having difficulty this morning. And a simple task like writing a sentence is taking minutes to load! So, I rebooted and am hoping that solves the problem. Happy Monday to you and hope your week started out as great as you wished it would be, really hope it was better. I know most people do not look forward to Mondays. Well for me today is beat the clock Monday and only the beginning of beat the clock week. I have been so busy trying to do so many things since I got my car out of the shop, that now I am severely behind on catching up on my art, my shops, my blogs and my job search. So, this week I intend on doing my all to make up for lost time. Funny how my computer had an entirely different agenda than me! I was doing some searching this morning and found a site called eHow, pretty cool. It seems you can put a profile on there and watch videos and read how to's on all kinds of things.

Now, if you are more computer savvy than I bear with me. I was really excited about it. The diversity of things you can get information about is staggering. It will take me a minute to absorb it all. So, technically now I have even more things to do than first anticipated. I wonder how long I can go without sleep? I need those hours to catch up. For those of you unfamiliar with this site, check it out, really amazing how many things you can learn about. They have everything from how to keep getting bitten by mosquitoes to digital filming techniques and a whole gamut of subjects in between and all around. So, if you have an interest or several interests that you are curious about, check them out. You can build a profile and make friends and I am hoping they will also, help me figure out more about it. For me other than a great way to fill my head with trivia that interests me, I think it will be a great way to network as well. The first person to add me has over 2000 friends on her page. I am thinking it is a pretty big site.

Now that I have that off my chest it is off to the drawing board for me. Yesterday was all about doing housework and cooking and baking. Today is all about doing artwork, blogging and tweeting and all the stuff required for me to maintain and grow my online business. I added some new prints to my shops yesterday and will be adding some more today, for anyone interested in checking it out. I also, added something new to my Zazzle store. So, eBay, ETSY, Artfire, Zibbet and Zazzle have new items for you to see. Hoping you enjoy them and your day, all my love to you, diana

PS: I am adding my eHow link, if you would like to check it out too!

One Step At A Time!

Well, I finally got a call for a banquet job. It isn't till next week and is only for Tuesday and Wednesday, but it is a start! Hopefully it will build into something more permanent. It is through a temp service, so only time can tell. Got to spend today getting ready for the art show. on Friday and Saturday, plus tomorrow will be bill day. Got to pay everyone, before I can head out to do the show. Keep your fingers crossed, I would love to make some real money this weekend. It should be a good show, there is supposed to be a band on Saturday and a large group of artists and crafters, so I am hoping it will be really awesome for all of us! If you happen to be in Pigeon Forge on either day, stop by and check us out at the Z Buda mall at light four!

My car is still running well, I am very happy about that. Also, moving has been delayed, wasn't really ready for that anyway! That is unless the real estate office won't have us, but I doubt it, it would be easier to keep us than try to rent it out this time of year. Not exactly prime rental time around here, work gets harder and harder to find the later in the year it gets, and January and February and March are awful for all businesses in this neck of the woods. I will know tomorrow, that is one of the errands I have to run tomorrow. I am hopeful and happy.

Still no big lottery jackpot, but a girl can dream, right? Today as well as the usual house work, and getting ready for the show tomorrow, I will be working on some more art, haven't decided what to do yet, that is usually the hardest part. Once I get it in my head, it is much easier to bring into reality. Hope you liked the butterflies from yesterday. It was a long process for that drawing, but I really like how nicely they turned out, with marker no less. Makes me more confident about how to really use those markers and how many things I can do with them.

I listed some bargain prints on my Ebay today, only 99 cents, really good deal, seeing as it cost more than double that to make them. If you want to check them out, just use the link listed below. Also, feel free to check out any of my shops below to see my drawings, paintings or many other craft items for sale. Hoping you are having a wonderful week. I am doing my best, my heart goes out to many of my friends who are going through hard times right now. I truly hope you aren't one of them. If you are, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Still waiting to hear if my butterfly print made it to the book. I will let you know as soon as I do. I am hoping I did, it will be so exciting to be part of something so special! Have a great day, sending you my love as always, diana

Webs Of Lies And Deception!

Wouldn't be nice to think, that you wouldn't have to scrutinize every word every one tells you. Even better if you could at least count on the ones you love the most, family, friends and professionals that we give our trust to. Living in the real world however, we learn this is not the facts. The facts are that no matter what kind of faith we put in others, many times it is unfounded, because that ugly little monster that lies deep within all of us, will eventually rear his ugly head. Human nature predisposes us to being deceptive and untrustworthy. Some of are blessed with the ability to ignore its stupid responses to given situations most of the time. Many people have an inability to reject its desire to paint us into a corner. So, in reality it is more about our awareness of its power for destroying all we hold dear. That no matter how we try to avoid the consequences of our actions, they will come back to haunt us. Truthfully, when the piper comes calling, the more we add to those problems through deceit and lies the bigger the consequences. Remember that the next time he makes an appearance in your life. He isn't going to pay for your actions, you are!

Obviously there is a point and not naming names, a particular situation in a dear friends life, brings this to the forefront today. His family is lying to him about a very serious legal matter ( that coincidentally has no physical proof), to manipulate and control him. Following whatever, good intentions they may have, will have drastic and detrimental consequences in his life. I am amazed at how selfish and cruel people are, ruthless really, in trying to gain some one's trust. In the end he will have to pay, one way or another. Either by losing the trust he once shared with those family members, and their loss of his presence in their lives, or by losing all he holds dear here and finding himself in a situation where he is also going to lose trust in them. Sad all the way around, wouldn't it occur to at one of them that maybe, no matter what they felt he would say, that they would at least be honest, and through that gain his trust and faith to make a more educated choice. It appears the collective decision was to be dishonest and trap him into doing their bidding, at the cost of all else. Anyway, just a thought for the day, we all have been betrayed at one point or another in our lives, and it is never fun, happy or nice. Pitiful, that with all our knowledge and technology, that the simplest and most important things in our lives do not get better.

Still working on the butterfly drawing, tough week for me, lots of distractions. One good thing, I am doing pretty good so far on my Ebay store, 3 sales, cheap ones, but sales non the less. Hopefully this is a beginning of something new for me! No lottery winnings so far this week. Also, my car is still in the shop, they assured me they were aiming to get it in today and see if they could rig her back up. So, more time for me to focus on the things I have here to deal with. Hoping you are having a blessed day, all my love to you, diana
