Jumping Out In Faith!

Well, today was interesting. The friend from my birthday has been burning up my phone lately, I have not been up to talking to her, so she contacted my other friend to see if she could visit me again! Hum, wonder what that will cost me?She brought presents and took me to lunch, I paid for more than half of the lunch and gave her a painting in trade for the presents! Never had a birthday like that! Anyway, she tried getting my other friend involved in making me meet up with her, and I told that friend I wasn't going to be home tomorrow, which by the way, I am not. Tomorrow is a try at the Flea Market. Got to get my funds up, been praying and trusting that the power that is, will bring me the money I need. So, to show my faith (or insanity), I reserved a trailer for this Thursday to make it all happen. I was kind of hoping, the money would show in advance, but apparently that is not the case! Maybe the Head Spirit in change, wants to see if I trust him, so I jumped on that limb. I am hoping the landing is smooth and soft!

Also, despite the weather man's calling for rain tomorrow, I am planning to do the Flea Market in hopes that I can generate enough sales to make it all go well this week. I do have some money saved, but not enough and things keep going awry. So, I say my prayers, leave it to the ultimate problem solver and keep my fingers crossed. I have done crazier things before, moved to Tennessee with only $300 dollars in my pocket and my clothes, that was 6 years ago. This time there is more expense and little more money, but I am taking my stuff (at least what I can afford to take and not sell). Anyway, the good news is apparently I picked a good time to move, it seems that rentals vary in price based on the need in the area of location. Lucky for me, they must be short in New Hampshire, the guy at U-Haul said it is usually $600-$800 dollars to rent one, the price right now is $250. So, some things seem to be working in my favor, just got to hold out the rest will fall into place! I checked the lottery, nothing yet. I can only hope this is the dream I am waiting for. Who knows maybe I will do exceptionally well this weekend at the Flea Market. Maybe, just maybe, I will make a sale in one of my online shops! It is up to the universe to provide, I know I have a plan, and I feel like it is The Plan! Gut instincts tell me this is where I am supposed to be, so I have to run with it.

Car Shopping Anyone?

Well, still staying busy. Worked at the gallery today, pretty quiet, made a couple of small sales, hoping for more this week for sure. Anyway, just a note to you all out there with online shops. The scammers are at it again. I got an e-mail from some one on my Zibbet store, he was inquiring about one of my paintings. He requested I send him a money request and from there it got crazy. The good news is I learned how to do that. I had never done a request for payment in Paypal, so I learned something that will most certainly come in handy in the future! Very cool, guess that is how people sell on Facebook and other such sites, good to know. Anyway, back to my buddy, he starts with how much he loves the painting. Then how he is a collector, and is a sailor. From there, it is how he is at sea, and if he sends me extra money, will I pay for the storage for this painting. I check out the address for shipping, it is UCLA, yeah, the university. Whatever, I took back the money request and sent him an e-mail declining his offer to purchase. So, just a note to be wary, they are up to getting money from every venue possible. Spread the word, and keep your heads clear.

As for the lottery, tonight is a drawing, and I am certain to be winning soon. So this evening, I spent going online and picking out the cars, yes plural, I am going to buy, and shopped for one for my youngest as well. The oldest child of mine I think is good for vehicles, she may need some down payment for a home or business. Anyway, the cars are picked, down to the colors and extras. Now it is time for me to decide where I want to live, coastal, I am pretty sure, and need to be close to a good gallery for me as well. If anyone has any pointers, would love to hear them. Give me an idea, where you think my art would do well. I mean it is selling here, and this is no big city! Would love to hear your thoughts!

Been working on some new art, hopefully this weekend while I am off, I can spend some time downloading everything to give you some more good art. Hoping your New Year is off to a great start. Sleepless In The Mountains

Well, I made it awake all night. Took a short nap, about an hour today, so I am thinking tonight is going to be an early night. I did get a lot done however, and that is always good! I finally finished the drawing with the square on it, I made myself a couple of friendship bracelets and made about seven stylish friendship bracelets to sell. I need to make some more like the one I am wearing just to keep on me to sell, and maybe to add to my online stores. I also, was hoping to get at least one drawing started, with some new T-Shirt specific prints to put into my Zazzle account (store).

Hoping you have started the week out right, ready to go and ready to be done! I started with a bang for sure, all niter, what was I thinking? Actually, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I figured on being a train wreck today. I am still going strong, but I know that can only go on so long. Once that second wind, blows out, I will be lucky to make it to my bed. I wanted to get a couple more bracelets done and then I am thinking of doing at least one sun print for t-shirts, something brilliant, but with no background, so it has a nice effect on the t-shirts. Maybe a sea turtle, lizard, frog, fish, not sure but I would like to get humpin' and get several designs done. I think they will look great. I will be sure to post them so you can see for yourself. For today, I will post the drawing I was working on, and probably tomorrow, I will upload pictures of the bracelets, I made as well. We will have to see, there are quite a few pictures already. So, I have started the week busy and plan on keeping up my momentum as long as possible. It has been so difficult trying to keep up with all the sites, that I haven't had as much time to work on my art. The last few days I have been focusing on the art, and so the stores have been neglected. Every week I am getting better at juggling my time and dividing my attentions to all that needs to be done. Now, all I really have to squeeze in is some kind of a workout and reading time. One thing at a time, first get this part on track and then I can incorporate more into this schedule of mine! Strange New Terms Makes A Curious Brain

Well, I was watching something new to me on TV last night. It is a show about sex. There were several new terms for totally new diagnoses on there the one that stands out is sexual anorexic. Now according to this program a sexual anorexic is some one who denies themselves and their partner sex, partly out of controlling and partly because of child issues with the parent of the opposite sex. It was a fascinating show for me, just because I learned so many new things. For those of you who don't follow, I do love to learn all the time. I crave educating myself. Any way enough of that, I did finish the final bull dog picture I was working on yesterday, and as promised it is posted here for you to see. Tomorrow I will post all three together and you can vote for your favorite. This is more serious bull dog than the earlier ones, just trying to mix them up a little bit.

Well, internet sales is slowing starting to move. NOthing crazy or rapid, but there have been a couple of orders in the last week or two. So far the sales have been on my ETSY account, nothing yet on my Artfire or my Zibbet account. I am hoping they start moving as well. The book I told you about is going well, in chapter four now, this is when it is required of me to start taking action. Since that has already been going on, I am waiting to read something that I have not done yet. Very good. Today is filled with some house work, putting away the pencils and markers and dragging out whatever project makes me happy. I do have some cabbage to cook and a few other things. But, right now I want some breakfast and a shower, just in reverse!

My therapy loving friends are giving me a break right now. The peace and quiet has been wonderful! It has also been nice to be able to catch up with other friends, very nice. Hoping your week is off to a smooth, if not fun start, mine is going well. Hoping to end the week with a bunch of sales, Yay! A girl has to have her dreams you know. Sell, Sell, Sell And Happy Days!

Well, it is finally Friday! Today I dropped off the bracelets I made to sell at the flea market at a friends shop. There were a few there from the other day when I stopped in to show them to her, She bought one and has had a few inquiries, and one lady needed a special sized one. I am hoping she will come back since I could have made it for her, no problems, The shop manager (my friend) wasn't aware that I would do that, so live and learn. I think now we have the bugs worked out, communication, communication, communication. All told she has about 74 to sell and it should be a busy weekend, so sell sell, sell! I hope they do well, she is a good friend and a good person in general, I appreciate her willingness to give me a try. I also dropped off a few canvases and some signed prints as well for her to display in her store. The price is right as far as rent goes, free!

Last night I also received an e-mail letting me know I had a sale in one of my online stores, for a signed print. That was very exciting! So today I made sure it was sent out to her. It is always nice to feel your work is appreciated and valued, no better feeling. Self worth goes a long way in a stressed out economy, and when decent employers and decent jobs are in short supply. The good news is it looks like slowly, my name will now be getting out there, I left a bunch of business cards with my friend, and have every confidence she will make sure to give them out. Finally, there is a flash of light in the dark clouds around me. A bright and sunny day is just around the corner, can't wait! All and all it was a nice way to end a week.

Today as usual, I bought my lottery numbers for the next week. The dream to win it this year is still very strong indeed, good times for all. One of my best friends is also seeing a good luck streak arriving in her very near future. It seems since I met her, we have been on the same path as far as stress level, and just crazy luck. I have faith we will be over the hump in a minute and the sun will brighten our days. It is well earned, well deserved and will be well appreciated!
