Willard Mountain View

Well, today I am posting a new painting I did inspired by a hike to Willard Mountain in New Hampshire. It was a beautiful day and my first real hike to an actual peak. It was tough, it really showed me how out of shape I really was and still am. But, it was a moment I will never forget, something I never dreamed I would do! With much struggle and some real effort I did make it to the top, and even got coaxed into going to the edge of the cliff. I will never forget that day!

On our way to the top I saw a tree. It was a funny tree. When I first saw it, from the angle I was at it looked like it had a nose. Once I started walking around it, I realized it had a crooked branch sticking out of it, and from the side you could not see it, it just looked like a big nose. I was so inspired that I decided to paint a picture of that tree, to remember my trip there. The picture of the painting is the picture on here today, and once I get my PC back and up I will put it up with the painting so you can see them together. For now, you will have to just imagine the tree I saw that day. The painting is more reflective of a Van Gogh style painting so it will not reflect the actual picture.

Okay, so far I don't have my lottery check, still waiting! I did look for work today and found one I felt was promising. Last Friday, I had a black out and ended up in the ER. Rough night, was given time off of work and my boss was not happy. She took me off the schedule immediately and as of today has not put me back on it again. Times sure have changed. The days of people being empathetic and kind or concerned seems to be rare anymore. I was shocked to say the least. So, now I have to make a new plan and create a new income! As always I wait for my art to start selling and for other financial opportunities to come my way (looking of course).

Today, is a day to draw, and devise a plan for tomorrow. Part one will be going to the hospital to check on my paperwork and see if I qualify for assistance with the bill. Also, hoping to make a run for the unemployment office as well to see if I can salvage some kind of an income from there as well. Hopefully with some good luck in my favor the job I applied for today will call me and hire me. Mostly, it would be great if they are good folks to work for. It would be a nice change of pace, and I can only hope that since they are in the business of healthcare, that they have more compassion then my last few employers!

Sending my love to you and yours as always, hope you had a great holiday, whichever you celebrate, and if you don't I still hope you enjoyed the season. We finally are reaching the dawning of a new year. I for one am very excited to see what it will bring! Lots of love to you, diana
