I ran across this poem, by Maya Angelou. It made sense to me. I have never considered my self to be some extraordinary looking woman, and yet seem to attract people. When I read it, I realized, what I had always suspected. That beauty and attraction come from inside, of course, but the way she describes it, makes it easier to understand. Maya Angelou, has a way with words, and in this poem, based on herself, I can also see me! Hope you enjoy it!
Phenomenal Woman
Pretty woman wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I' m telling lies,
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms,
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
zthe curl of my lips,
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
I walk into a room
Just cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down to their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
Ahive of honey bees.
I say,
It's in the fire in my eyes
, And the flash of my teeth,
The swing of my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mustery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
